Forward into the past
According to Des Pascha Comutus, written in 243 CE, Jesus Christ's birthday was March 28. It later became the familiar December 25 after Rome changed it in 336. This was done to bring Jesus into line with all the other pagan deities whose birthdays were traditionally celebrated on that day.
Two years earlier the Emperor Constantine had changed the sabbath from Saturday to Sunday to please the pagan sun worshipers.
